The will to keep moving in the upward direction we began more than ten years ago, the one we work for every single day.

What job did you dream of doing as a child?

I changed my mind often, I don’t remember one job in particular. Maybe the dream came true anyway, since even today I do something different every hour.

What's the achievement you're most proud of as a manager?

I hope I’ll be able to tell you further down the road—we’re still only laying the foundations.

Where have you failed in your career, and what did you learn from that experience?

I’ve placed my trust more than once in people who didn’t deserve it. Now I try to judge people with more detachment.

What's the hardest challenge you've faced and overcome?

Turning into work what had started as play: the product and the company I love.

What's the best advice you've ever received, and who gave it to you?

Do the opposite of what people expect from you. A poet told me that when I was a child, sitting at the table with other adults.

Nobility of spirit.

Who do you consider your mentor—the person you've learned the most from professionally?

It’s hard to point to a single mentor. I’ve had the good fortune to meet many people of great worth, friends and mentors. The list is long, and it would be unfair to name only a few: I’m deeply grateful to each one of them.

Tough question for an eclectic listener like me. Lately I’ve been listening often to Nel cielo dei bars by Fred Buscaglione.

The Bhagavad Gita.

None, but I like football.

Reading as much as possible before going to sleep.
